You taught my heart the definition of love…

What I love most about you could never be captured in a photo. I love your character. Not just the roles you’ve played to become you, but the roles you’ve refused because they devalued your potential to become better. I love that you don’t just say you’ll be there, but show up without even saying a word. I love the way you shift the world to make it a more comfortable one for me to live. I love your heart for humanity and your constant strive towards divinity. Continue reading “Love”

Me Time

When you live a busy life sometimes you find yourself at the bottom of the to-do list and often times you never make it to the bottom of the list.

I’ve learned along the way that those little moments of me time are very necessary in every marriage. If your schedule is anything like my husband and I, you find that you do a lot of passing one another. As soon as we got married, we started a church – and if any of you ever started a church, you know that it’s like immediately going into labor and trying to birth out a baby but instead we are birthing out a church. So we have a church, we work two different shifts and we are constantly supporting EVERYBODY. But even with doing all of that, one would think that we don’t spend enough time with one another right? But even with doing all of this, you still need your me time. No matter how long or how short your time is, YOU NEED IT. Continue reading “Me Time”

I’m Back, Let’s Catch Up

Hey Luv’s!!!

I know, I know – it’s like where have I been right? Well I have definitely had quite a bit going on. But lets play catch up for a minute. So I totally missed valentines day with you and I didn’t get to share my goodies. My husband spoiled me like CRAZY!

So the week of Valentine’s day, I got a new wedding band. So most of you know I have been married now for a year and a half but because when we first got married we had just moved I didn’t get the band that he wanted to get me. Then when we did our ceremony, my band took a back seat to make sure that we had everything that we needed to make our day great. So my husband surprised me at work with my new band. how dope is that, and can I say that I LOVE IT. Continue reading “I’m Back, Let’s Catch Up”

Lord Benjamin &Lady Bella

So everyone knows that I absolutely love my doggy baby Lord Benjamin. I got him as a Hannukah gift from my husband in 2014. He is a maltipoo and I have had him since he was 6 weeks old. He’s very much to himself and always up under me. Believe it or not, I never in my life held a dog until I got Benji (that’s what we call him). I have been wanting a female dog for him for quite some time. We thought we had one until we found out that the seller was pretty much playing so my hubby found me another dog. My Holiday Gifts

OMG! It’s been so long since I’ve posted I have so much to catch up on. So of course my husband and I celebrate Hannukah and not Christmas. Hannukah is about a week and a half before Christmas and it last for 8 days. Every day you are supposed to receive a gift. Now 2014 i went so hard making sure I had 8 gifts but of course I did give him one every day, it got to the point where as they were coming in the mail I just gave them to him. But this year, since we did our wedding ceremony and reception, we decided not to exchange gifts and instead catch up on all our bills and bring everything to a zero balance which we did! I did however get him a sweater jacket from his favorite brand (just couldn’t let the holiday go by and i not get him something). He was soooooo hyped about that sweater, which made me happy. But last week Wednesday, my husband walked in the house with these two items that I have been wanting for a minute now. Continue reading “My Holiday Gifts”

Hey luvs! Happy New Year!!!! How did you spend yours? Me, home with my doggy baby waiting for the hubster to get in from work.

Since I’m not into the whole New Years resolution or the ‘New Year, New Me’ thing but I do believe that every month you should set new goals that you should achieve before the end of the month. So, what are your goals for January or even for the next few months? Me, I’ve started blogging and my YouTube Channel (Here) so I’m trying to grow it. This month I have a certain amount of post that I need to do by the end of the month and certain videos I want to do by the end of the month. I also have my personal goal of actually going to the gym. If you’re like me, you don’t mind attending the gym but just hate attending alone. But I challenge myself to do better. I don’t have many that I actually call my friends and those that I do live no where near me :(. But I promise, I am going to do better! I actually plan to go today. Stay tuned…. I also have a book that I am reading that I must finish before the end of the month. The book is Lost & Found by Sarah Jakes-Roberts. Great book so far. Continue reading “2016!!!!!”

No matter what I do or how long my day is, I always come home to my baby. When I first got my dog around this time last year I was so scared to even hold him and now we are inseparable. No matter what time I get home, I always walk him. My husband and I don’t have children of our so Lord Benjamin is our first baby. Spoiled? He is very much and he doesn’t like for anyone to hold me or touch me including my husband. Continue reading “OOTD…”

Holiday 2015

Hey luvs! How was your holiday? Mine was awesome. In my household we don’t celebrate Christmas, we celebrate Hanukkah. This year Hannukah for us was pretty quiet. My husband had to work as did I, so we didn’t do much. With Christmas being on a Friday and both hubby and I were off, we spent Christmas with our spiritual parents out on Long Island. Many holidays I spend home alone because of my husbands profession and schedule but today was one of the best holidays that we’ve been able to spend with family. Great food, laughs and just a ball of fun. We love family and it’s very important to us, so today meant everything to us. How did you all spend your holiday? ?

Marc Jacobs Decadence Perfume & My Sisters B’day

Back in October, Marc Jacobs released a perfume, Marc Jacobs Decadence. It was developed by Master Perfumer Annie Buzantian in collaboration with Marc Jacobs and Ann Gottlieb. The fragrance is a luxurious, woody scent, with top notes of Italian plum, saffron, and iris. At the heart is a bouquet of rich Bulgarian Rose, lush Orris, and creamy nuances of Jasmine Sambac. Liquid amber, vetiver, and warm papyrus woods compose the dry down.

“The revolutionary bottle was designed as a clever nod to Marc Jacobs’ fashion aesthetic, with his iconic handbag shape being reinvented into a bottle with a luxe gold chain and black silk tassel. The new fragrance epitomizes this cool, unexpected contradiction of classic and irreverence. Decadence is a good girl playing bad. In the words of Marc Jacobs, “A girl chooses to be decadent, she is not just decadent.” Continue reading “Marc Jacobs Decadence Perfume & My Sisters B’day”

It’s Man Crush Monday…

It’s Man Crush Monday right?!
So, if you know me, you know that I absolutely LOVE & LIKE my husband. Yes there’s a difference. Just because you love your spouse, doesn’t mean you have to like him. I love my husband with every part of my being. There’s no other man that can walk in a room and light up my world, or make my heart melt with something so simple as his smile that he hates so much. But I also like him. I like the man that he is, I like the way life looks through his eyes. No, in no way are we the perfect couple, but we’re learning.
So shout out to my Mr. for always putting me and my feelings before everything, for considering me in all things, and for being the best husband, friend, lover and everything else that this woman could have ever prayed for. Love you!  Continue reading “It’s Man Crush Monday…”
